Alton Towers Resort are enforcing a no PDA rule this May half term, to encourage parents to disconnect from the office and reconnect fully with their families. Sounds nice huh. But surely this is all jazz hands and a bit of PR. Check out this cheesy picture via CrunchGear.

This is a pretty cool mash up. Enter your band, and moments later you’re watching your own music channel. Sweet! Stop by here and give it a go.

Bank Holiday I decided to check out Cans Festival in the big smoke on Leake Street, SE1. Work from the pseudo-anonymous Banksy featured alongside 29 other graffiti artists. They even invited people to add their own stencils in a collaborative spirit. Despite the very long queue (it was a free event after all!), it was well worth the wait. There was even the opportunity to some of the artists working away, not Banksy of course. There was so much to see it was hard to take it all in.

I took some snaps with my dodgy camera - you just can’t appreciate the detail and the great atmosphere from my pics. Alternatively you can look at this Flickr collection here via PSFK. Also, worth checking out this YouTube clip of it here.

People who applied for tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend but didn’t get one were given a URL link to a secret page where they could download some augmented reality software. What’s that?! Essentially it allowed people to have The Fratellis playing live in their hand. Pretty cool demo.

Ever wondered what the uninspiring Ford ad actually sounds like before the overdub? I’m not sure if this is a spoof so much as an improvement on the actual ad. This is way more entertaining!

Thriller on the tube

If only the tube ride to work really was this entertaining…
