Burger King Whopper Freakout

December 18, 2007

Not sure if I rate this as a viral, but it’s actually quite a fascinating concept! Burger King have conducted this strange sort of experiment of removing the Whopper (BK’s most famous burger) off the menu and filming customers’ reactions. They call it ‘Whopper Freakout’.

Despite upsetting customers, it shows how loyal they are to the brand, and their passion for the Whopper. Apparently all the reactions are real, check it out…

Dorm room tetris

December 6, 2007

I can’t decide if this is pure genius, or just plain ridiculous, but I think I love it! Using mobile phones, lots of wires, and a big dose of geekdom, a student dorm in Finland created a huge game of tetris. And people say students have too much free time on their hands…

What better way to test the warmth of winter clothing in Sweden, than to test it in a freezing cold fitting room. Quite literally, the worlds coolest fitting room. With snow and ice, the temperature of the room is -25 Celsius. And of course, as it’s the digital age, there is a web cam in the room. A pretty ‘cool’ idea, and one that has sparked word of mouth to bring attention to the ‘Playground’ brand behind it all.

“The results was close to 400% more customers and Playground sold more than 100% more jackets compared to the goal. Gold Eurobest Winner 2007.”
